On Palm Sunday at the 6:00 PM service, we have a modified version of the "Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday" Liturgy. Palm Sunday is the traditional beginning of Holy Week. We read the liturgy of the palms, passing out palm crosses to all in attendance. We also read the passion narrative as the gospel reading for this service. But all other aspects of the service remain from our regular Sunday evening service: this service our "less formal," evening worship on Sundays. We gather in the beautiful Children's Chapel in Lowndes Hall. The clergy choose readers and chalice bearers from those who arrive just before the service begins. Everyone dresses less formally--usually in whatever you had on that afternoon. There is no music at this service--just a great sense of fellowship and unity in coming together to worship in a more relaxed setting. We end with Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion), and leave having been "fed" together. Come join us!
